You can use Cowin Portal to register for vaccination and navigate to “Register / Sign In yourself” tab to register for COVID-19 vaccination.
No, there is no limitation in the number of times to access and download the certificate. However, if one tries innumerably, the system may treat such cases as a bug. You download the vaccine certificate through eka.care website or can use eka.care WhatsApp to download your certificate in seconds. Note: If one enters a wrong OTP, a waiting period of 180 seconds is to be maintained before one can request another OTP to access his certificate.
No, there is not limit to register on Cowin website. However, if you have entered a wrong OTP 3 times, it will not allow you to login from the same instance. To login again you would need to refresh the browser to create a new session and again login with your mobile no and the new generated otp.
The only app authorized to register for Vaccination in India is Arogya Setu. You can also log into the CoWIN portal to register. Alternatively, you can also complete your registration through the Aarogya Setu app and Umang app.
All beneficiaries aged 18 years and above can register for getting vaccinated.
The Vaccination Centers provide a limited number of on-spot registration slots on daily basis. As per Cowin, beneficiaries between the aged group of 45 years and above can schedule appointments by walk-in or via online process. Beneficiaries aged 18 years and above can schedule vaccination appointments online or walk-in to Government vaccination Centers. Note: It is mandatory for the the beneficiaries in the age group of 18-44 to register themselves and schedule appointment online before visiting to a Private vaccination centre across India. It as been recommended for all beneficiaries to register online to schedule vaccination in advance. This would help them to get a hassle-free vaccination experience.

Yes, you can book your appointment for vaccination through CoWIN portal. This can be done after logging-in to the CoWIN Portal through your registered mobile number.
You can book your vaccination appointment on eka.care. While scheduling the appointment, eka.care will show the vaccination center names along with the name of the vaccine that will be administered.
Yes, the appointment slip can be downloaded after the appointment has been scheduled. The apopointmen slip can be stored in the eka.care app for future references. It is advisable to keep the slip handly during your vaccination.
You can search for the vaccine slot on eka.care, CoWIN portal, Aarogya Setu or Umang to find the vaccination center nearest to your location by searching through PIN code or by choosing the State and the District.
Yes, the appointment can be rescheduled at any given time. If you are not able to go for vaccination on the date of appointment, the portal gives you an option to reschedule the appointment. The benificiary need not pay for the change in date.
Yes, you can cancel an your appointment. You can also re-reschedule the appointment as per your preferred day and time.
After scheduling your appointment, you will receive the details date, time slot and Vaccination Center in an SMS sent to your registered mobile number. You will also get a messge on WhatsApp if you book it through eka.care. The Appointment slip can be downloaded and store on the ekacare App in "My Vault" on your smart phone.
Beneficiaries aged 45 years and above can walk-in to Vaccination Center or schedule their appointments online. Beneficiaries aged 18-44 years can schedule appointment or walk-in for vaccination in a Government Vaccination Center. eka.care is a Cowin Approved partner. We only fetch appointment slots from the Cowin Portal. In case there is no slot available for a spcific time ad date in the searched Vaccination Center, you will have to try scheduling your appointment in other nearby centers. With eka.care, you can search the Vaccination Centers using your PIN code or District. You can also set alerts on the eka.care app and get notified as soon as your prefered slot is avialable as per your selected time, vaccine type and the cost of vaccination.

It has been recommended that the 2nd dose. The time frames for differnt vaccines varies. For instance, COVAXIN should be administered between 28 to 42 days after the 1st dose. The 2nd dose of COVISHIELD should be administered between 84 days to 112 days after the 1st dose. The second dose of SPUTNIK V should be administered between 21 days to 90 days after the 1st dose.
No, the system does not automatically book your 2nd dose. The process for taking 2nd dose is similar, an appointment has to be taken on eka.care or on the the CoWIN system. You can book an appointment in a Vaccination center of your preference, where the same vaccine is being administered as the vaccine type (COVAXIN, COVISHIELD or SPUTNIK V) of the 1st dose.
No. For beneficiaries aged 45 years and above, vaccination is free at Government hospitals and charged at INR 250 in Private hospitals.
On eka.care, the price of the vaccine is shown below the name of the Vaccination Center at the time of scheduling an appointment.
At the time of scheduling an appointment, eka.care will show you the vaccine which is being administered in each Vaccination Center. Beneficiary can select the Vaccination Center as per their choice of vaccine being administered.
"The Vaccination Centers need to ensure that if a beneficiary is being vaccinated with 2nd dose, the first dose vaccination should have been done with the same vaccine as is being offered at the time of second dose. The vaccine center also needs to check that for Covaxin, the first dose was administered more than 28 days ago, 84 days ago for COVISHIELD and 21 days ago for SPUTNIK V.
We also urge you to share the correct information about the vaccine type and the date of 1st dose vaccination with the vaccinator. It is recommended to carry your vaccine certificate issued after the first dose."

Yes, you can get get your second dose in any State or District. However, you will only get vaccinated in the centers offering the same vaccine as was administered to you on your first dose.
For verification purpose, you should carry your identity proof that you had specified at the time of registration on the CoWIN portal. It is also recommended to carry your appointment slip While booking you vaccination slot, the appointment slip get saved in the eka.care App. You can keep it handly for future reference(s).
The government issues a COVID Vaccine Certificate (CVC), which is an assurance to the beneficiary on the vaccination (type of vaccine used). The provisional certificate also provides the next vaccination due. The certificate of Vaccination (CVC) becomes an evidence for the benificiary to prove to any entities which may require proof of vaccination. This is specially observed in case of travel. You can download your vaccine certificate on eka.care.
Vaccination is not only important to protect individuals from disease, but also reduces their risk of spreading the virus. There could be a requirement in near future to produce vaccination certificates for social interactions and International travel." To guarantee genuineness of the certificate, the certificate issued by CoWIN has built in security features which can be digitally verified using approved utilities, provided in CoWIN portal.
It is the responsibility of the Vaccination center to provide a printed copy of Vaccine certificate. The certificate is provided on the day of vaccination once your vaccination is done. Benifciries can insist on receiving the certificate at the center itself.
In Private Hospitals, the charges for providing a printed copy of the certificate are included in the service charge for vaccination, so benificiaries need not pay the amount.
You can download your certificate on eka.care. You can also download it from the CoWIN portal (cowin.gov.in) or the Aarogya Setu app or through Digi-Locker. It can be done by using your registered mobile number.
International Travel Certificate has been introduced by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, which complies with international standards for travel abroad. The certificate serves as a proof that the individual has received all doses of vaccination for travelling internationally. This certificate enables you enter countries without any hassle of quarantine or going through tests for COVID-19.
eka.care enables you to link your passport with Cowin Certificate. We also recommend you to store the certificate in eka.care app. The International Travel Certificates are generated within 2 hours of placing your request.
You may be able to enter some countries with the Internaltional Travel Certificate, while you may have to provide a range of test results in others. Entry requirements vary across different countries.
The International Travel Certificates gets generated within 2 hours of your request. You can download your certificate 2 hours after applying for it and store them on the eka.care app.
