I would like to share our experience getting treated by Dr. Umesh chowdaiah! My mother was suffering from knee issues since many years and she was not confident about getting the surgery done as she had a lot of fears. I dont know what was the magic , she gathered all the confidence and courage right after the first consultation with this doctor. So we went ahead with the procedures for both her knees and Dr.Umesh ensured smooth process. Dr. Umesha Chowdaiah - a man with big heart and golden hand!! My mother had been struggling from osteoarthritis for quite long time(~2009 onwards). Many doctors in Bangalore advised Total Knee Replaceent(TKR) as a solution and when hesitated for the same gave steroids and pain killers. She was managing with pain killers and oil massages only.. In 2017, one of our family friends in Mysore suggested Dr. Umesh and told us about the PRP (Platelet-rich plasma) treatment he had been providing to patients with osteoarthritis in Mandya and Mysore Region. We booked an appointment with him and visited him on a Saturday. He was very patient, listened to the pain my mother explained. He did not try to jump to conclusion but instead helped my mother understand what she is going through. He explained about the stages of osteoarthritis and helped us understand where my mother stood. He explained why TKR is best for her but did not really force upon it. He explained about PRP, the process of paltelet extraction and treated her with the same. My mother was able to manage daily activities without pain for 7 months. The cost was very much optimised (Rs 6,000.00/- in 2017. Rs 10,000.00/- in Apr 2023) The doctor gave sufficient time(nearly 5 years) for my mother to make a decision to undergo TKR. Until then she managed with multiple PRP treatment sessions from the doctor. In February 2023, we went for TKR of one leg in Clearmedi Radiant Hospital Mysore (recommended by the doctor). The doctor even in his busy schedule, plans the surgery and recovery process for his patients very well. He keeps the patients care-takers updated on the needed facts and never lets them panic! Even after the surgery and discharge, Dr. Umesh regularly follows up on the patient health until he feels confident about the patient. Its something very rare in this fast paced world! Like all the experts, Dr. Umesh is very much updated in his area of expertise. Publishes and presents papers in highly recognised forums. A Big Thank you to Dr. Umesh and his team!!

Dr Umesh C is a good ortho I've come across, he did a excellent job (surgery), when I had multiple fractures in my knee, more than that his talk & smile heals half of our issues. It's very easy to access him.
