Dr athul is the first and only interventional pulmonologist in kollam doing advanced airway and pleural interventions. He has done first EBUS (Endobronchial Ultrasound) , first Rigid bronchoscopy , first paediatric bronchoscopy, first therapeutic thoracoscopy, first airway stenting and first cryonodal biopsy biopsy.
