We had a very stressful experience when my son had been suffering from cough for almost three weeks. Initially, the cough was mild and on and off, but during the last week it suddenly increased. We consulted other pediatric specialist, but unfortunately, the medicines did not help much. We were very worried and tried to get an appointment with specialists at Fortis, Apollo, and Rainbow Children’s Hospital. However, as the next day was a holiday for Vinayaka Chavithi, we could not get an appointment anywhere. After that, I started checking if there was any other doctor available near me. That is when I noticed Sri Akshya Clinic and found the contact number of Dr. Gunda Srinivas Sir. I messaged him on WhatsApp and asked if, by any chance, he would be available the next day. To our surprise, he personally responded and asked us to come at 11 AM. At that time, we were very tense and worried about whether there could be any lung infection or any other serious issue with our son. Dr. Gunda Srinivas Sir examined my son patiently and reassured us that there was nothing to worry about. He prescribed the required medicines and nebulization and asked us to provide an update after 24 hours through WhatsApp. What really impressed us was his continued guidance and responsiveness. Whenever I shared an update, he responded and guided us appropriately. He understood not only the child's condition but also the anxiety and concern of the parents. As he had explained, my son started improving, and within three days he was completely fine and peacefully went back to school. His clear explanation, patience, timely guidance, and continued support made a huge difference to us. A doctor’s treatment is important, but the way a doctor understands and supports worried parents is equally valuable. Dr. Gunda Srinivas Sir showed us exactly that. Dr. Gunda Srinivas sir is extremely caring and friendly paediatric doctor !! Best part is he spends good amount of time with each patient and ensure all the concerns are addressed. I took my 6 months old for regular vaccine, he has thoroughly enquired on the 6 month of medical history before giving vaccine and provided guidelines to be regularly followed.
