Dr. Mrinal Sivadasan

I completed my MD in Pediatrics from AIIMS New Delhi. Then I served as Assistant Professor in Department of Pediatrics in Dr SMCSI Karakonam Medical College for 3 years. In 2016, I completed my Doctorate of National Board in Neonatology, Manipal Hospital Bangalore. I have worked with eminent people in the field of Pediatrics and Neonatology at various centres and have clinical and managerial experience at consultant level. I have vast experience in managing extremely preterm babies, common surgical and cardiac anomalies, term babies with PPHN and HIE needing total body cooling, transport of sick babies etc. I am well versed with all forms of ventilation including HFOV, volume guarantee ventilation, Biphasic etc and interpreting pulmonary graphics. I am a qualified NRP instructor (IAP-NNF-FGM Project) and I have trained Pediatricians, Neonatologists, MBBS doctors, Nurses in Newborn care and Neonatal resuscitation. I have led the neonatal transfer team to transfer high risk babies for continuing care and requiring ECMO. I can perform echocardiogram for managing haemodynamic issues, identify PDA and other common congenital anomalies. I can perform cranial ultrasound scan to identify Intraventricular hemorrhage, ventriculomegaly, abnormalities and measure resistance index. I am competent in performing various basic procedures like inserting long lines, umbilical catheters, intubation, peripheral arterial lines etc.
