About the doctor
Dr Rushmita is a passionate practitioner of holistic health and wellness. Her journey began at the age of 12 when she joined Sadhguru Gurukulam and get initiated by Sadhguru. As she delved deeper into the world of Yoga and natural healing, she also began learning Siddha and Ayurveda, with determination to learn more about the ancient healing practices.
Her dedication and hard work paid off, as she became a registered Alternative Medicine Practitioner and a Nadi Vaidhya, specializing in ancient pulse diagnosis. She also received a certification in Functional Medicine from Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM), the only organization providing functional medicine certification directly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).
Her expertise and knowledge have been recognized internationally, as she has presented four papers each at the World Ayurveda Congress 2022, Goa and Global Ayurveda Festival 2023, Thiruvananthapuram, and two papers at IFM's Annual International Conference 2024, Las Vegas showcasing her research and insights into the field, winning two best presentation awards.
Rushmita's passion for holistic health and wellness extends beyond her personal practice, as she is a dedicated visiting consultant at Isha Rural Health Clinics. She has been an alumnus of Isha Samskriti, an institution dedicated to the promotion of traditional Indian culture and values, and a member of Institute for Functional Medicine, WA, USA.
