When my family and I arrived at Achyut Maharaj Heart Hospital, we were in a state of great uncertainty. However, from the moment we stepped inside, my confusion was replaced with confidence. I can honestly say this is one of the best cardiac care facilities I have encountered. The team here, from the hospital staff to the doctors and surgeons, is exceptionally cooperative and polite. They treat every patient with dignity, a quality that truly stands out, especially since the hospital serves people from all walks of life, including those from below the poverty line. It's clear that their mission is to provide compassionate and equitable care. I want to give a special mention to Dr. Shailesh Jayade, who performed my father's angiography. His expertise in both clinical and interventional cardiology is impressive. Beyond his technical skill, I deeply appreciate his precise and empathetic approach to patient care. My father is scheduled for an angioplasty this week, and I will be sure to write a more detailed review once the procedure is complete. For now, I can only express my immense gratitude for the incredible work this hospital and its staff are doing. They are a true asset to the community. Review after angioplasty (Today 25th Sept. 25):- When faced with a complex diagnosis of critical triple vessel disease, the decision was challenging. Given his age of 75, my father, Gajanan Chute, was strongly and understandably reluctant to proceed with invasive bypass surgery. Respecting his wishes, we opted instead for angioplasty, a decision that ultimately led us to the exceptional care of Dr. Shailesh Jayade. Dr. Jayade performed the angioplasty with results that were nothing short of phenomenal and far exceeded our highest expectations. Navigating the inherent complexities and constraints of my father's condition, his skill and precision were remarkable. The Procedure: Precision and Expertise in Action Dr. Jayade took the time to personally walk me through the procedure on a large screen console, demonstrating his meticulous approach to this minimally invasive treatment. He successfully tackled three critical blockages in a single, complex session: Blockage 1 (The Non-Stent Challenge): One of the arteries presented a near-total obstruction, blocked between 95% and 100%. Dr. Jayade made the clinical decision to perform a balloon-only angioplasty without placing a stent. Using a precisely sized 4.0 mm balloon, he successfully dilated the artery, restoring blood flow while adhering to the specific needs of the vessel. Blockages 2 & 3 (Successful Stenting): In two other arteries (with 90-95% blockages) , Dr. Jayade employed 2.5 mm balloons and successfully inserted stents to ensure long-term patency. Removing three life-threatening blockages in one session is a testament to his focused expertise. Following this intricate work, my father's heart now has only one remaining blockage, which Dr. Jayade has prudently advised can be addressed after a six-month recovery period.
