Dr. Major Vasanth Kumar Gunasekaran

I have done my Under graduation from the prestigious Govt Stanley medical college, Chennai in 1997-2003 and then went on to serve in Indian Army as SSC officer from 2005-2010. I did my Post graduation from Command Hospital Air Force, Bangalore BY 2011-14 and on further Super specialization Fellowship from Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology. I have worked as Resident medical officer in various hospitals, and then Worked with Apollo Hospitals - Bangalore as Registrar in ENT. In pursuit of expanding the scope of services from broad speciality to super speciality in Head and Neck Oncology, I worked for Krishna cancer institute at Cuddalore treating oral and throat cancers in the district of Cuddalore and the near by areas for 5 long years. Later on relocating to Chennai, I joined hands with Dr Kamakshi Memorial Hospitals, Pallikaranai, Chennai, in providing Cancer care. Presently I am working with Hindu Mission Hospital, Tambaram and freelancing in the field of Head and Neck oncology. I have teaching experience as faculty in the Department of ENT at MAPIMS - Melmaruvathur, and Bhaarath Medical college - Chennai and presently being Associate Professor of ENT. In keeping up with the expanding knowledge base and skill set, I have presented various papers in national and international conferences and published papers in various international journals.
