Dr. Nilanjan Datta

Dr. Nilanjan Datta is a psychiatrist trained at the National Institute of Mental Health & Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, one of India’s premier institutes for mental health and neurosciences. During his training at NIMHANS, he gained extensive clinical experience across diverse areas of mental healthcare, including Neuropsychiatry, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, Geriatric (Old Age) Psychiatry, Perinatal (Reproductive) Mental Health, Family Therapy, Behavioural Therapy, and other evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches. He also received training in advanced neuromodulation techniques, including Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), and transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS). He further pursued a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Neurosciences & Therapeutics in Schizophrenia at NIMHANS, with advanced training in the assessment and management of schizophrenia and other severe mental illnesses. He is a recipient of the Best Psychotherapy Award at NIMHANS, reflecting his interest and expertise in integrating psychological approaches with psychiatric care.
