About the doctor
Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in clinical practice, research, and mental health advocacy. I have presented my work on perinatal mental health at international conferences, including the International Marce Society for Perinatal Mental Health Conference in Barcelona (2024) and the 75th Annual National Conference of the Indian Psychiatric Society, Kochi (2024). My research on Obsessions, Compulsions, and Intrusive Thoughts in the Perinatal Period was published in the Sri Lanka Journal of Psychiatry. I have been a speaker and expert trainer in various programs, including the Streemanoraksha training on mental health and suicide in women facing violence. My contributions to digital mental health solutions have been recognized, and I played a key role in developing a digital screening tool for perinatal anxiety and depression. Additionally, I have received multiple awards, including 2nd prize in Poster Presentation at the IPS Women’s Mental Health and Perinatal Psychiatry Conference (2023) and 2nd prize in the long clinical case presentation at the Psychiatry Virtual Mock Exam (2021). I hold certifications in Queer Affirmative Therapy, Sexual Medicine, and Perinatal Mental Health, further strengthening my commitment to inclusive and specialized care.
